The Hansens flew to Hohhot and this is what Shana had to say:
20 more hours!!! When we arrived in Hohhot we were informed that we won't be meeting Phoebe until 11:30:(. Hohhot is the Capitol of Inner Mongolia. Phoebe is from Baotou (about 100 miles north), but we'll be meeting her in Hohhot because that's where the paperwork needs to be done. We were dropped off at our hotel and once we got settled we headed out for a walk to find some lunch. We ended up at McDonald's, and although we don't normally eat McD's, today it was the best ever:). Unlike Beijing, we feel quite comfortable to venture out without our facilitator here in Hohhot. Gracie is having so much fun practicing her photography skills! We didn't accomplish a whole lot today, but I thought I'd share a little bit of the beauty we saw on our walk to lunch! Please continue to pray with us! We're very excited...very, VERY excited to meet this little girl, but I'm nervous and sad for what this is about to feel like for her. Adoption is a beautiful thing, but it does result from significant loss. Our sweetie has experienced so much loss and just typing that truth breaks my heart. Pray for us to have the wisdom we'll need to help her and comfort her tomorrow!!!

A picture with the Hansen's guide in Beijing. We liked him a lot! He's a Christian and we were able to pray together before our meals and hear about how he came to know Christ. |
